***MAD*** My driver's side AE side skirt won't stay on

I had a problem this winter where the front section of the sideskirt on my AE came unstuck/unclipped, so I took the time to pull it all off, clean it properly, and re-clip/re-adhere the trim with the 3M tape, but I notice that it is starting to pull off AGAIN. I'm not sure why this is happening, since the car is fine and has never been hit (everything should be straight as an arrow). When I pulled the piece off the first time I noticed that there were two threaded nuts embedded into the skirt. I'm planning on just drilling through the body and bolting this piece back on. Has anyone tried this? I'm guessing it can't be too hard to drill through the body given the right tools. I saw the Maglite mod thread and it got me thinking it's going to be easier than I had thought.

Freaking sideskirt. This thing is driving me crazy.
