Corssmember PAIN!!! help

I have been trying to remove my crossmemeber bar for 3 days now, F***ING dealer has cranked the bolts to death, i got 3/4 of em off but the forth one wount budge. Even worce the bolt head got bent from my rachet now i cant even get a good grip on it. What do i do???
Id go to a shop but then i have to place my ypipe back and drive to to the shop and have them remove ypipe and get the bolt off, but that will prolly be costly.
I JUST WONNA KILL THAT LIL HO AT THE DEALER THAT KILLED IT ON!

Either a bigger breaker bar or an impact wrench would do it I'd think

I used a big steel rod on my suspension bolts. definitely about 6' long. i could do with my pinky what i couldn't do with my whole body.

that sounds kinda weird...

Get creative and leg press the mother ****ers, I did that a few weeks ago and I finally broke them loose. How bad is the ratchet slipping? I mean I bent the **** out of my bolts but the socket eventually locked on.

You said the 'bolt head got bent'...does that mean you rounded it off?
Just curious.

Also, why are you needing to remove the crossmember?

which crossmember bolts are you trying to remove? The reason I ask is because I tried removing the bolts that hold the motor mounts to the crossmember, and the rear motor mount bolts were a real pain to get to . it was easier to remove the long bolts that run through motor mounts at the motor and leave the mounts on the crossmember. the bolts that fasten the crossmember to the frame came off with an impact pretty easily. if the bolt head is getting rounded, make sure your using a 6 point socket and make sure it is the right size! dont use a 12 point. also, if your using cheap tools, they might not fit to good. Use a decent quality 1/2" drive impact type socket and a long breaker bar as mentioned above.

GOD DEMMIT!!!
After getting a better socket and putting a nice and long pipe on the breaker bar I got it moving... BUT TO MY DISMAY its the whole bolt moving !!!
I am now bathing the thing in WD40 in hope that itll let go of the bolt itself and unscrew...
STROIKA1: Interesting advice after the WD40 bath try i will try the engine bolts thouse cant spin .

PS: this sucks becaouse im sick right now and dont have too much strenght for this bolt fighting!

I too would like to know this. My buddy that I work at my shop with just had some major reinforcement done on his crossmember on his 80s Monte Carlo. He has a friggin 502 engine it in and his crossmember nearly fell apart. Now all is well...but yeah, why are you removing the crossmember?

Why didn't you just take out the bolts from the motor mounts and remove the crossmember that way?

2 bolts and you're done...

Uhh, so when you take those 2 bolts off - do the other 4 that bolt the crossmember to the chassis magically undo themselves and come off the chassis?

He's doing it correctly.

Two out of the 4 motor mounts sit on the crossmember so to replace thouse you would have to remove the crossmember.
