This is supposed to be an idea of the 2003 Maxima from the usual 'unnamed source'. I don't have any idea how real this is, so don't shoot the messenger.

EDIT: This pic is acctualy an altered photo of an Opel, here's the original pic:

As you can see they didn't even really bother to change anything other then the symbol. Just goes to show you to NEVER believe the crap the floats around online.

Not too bad.

But by then, I'll be in the market for a Lancer Evo VII. Car magazine had an earlier estimate of 5.3 from 0-60. Now they estimate it at 5 even, after driving it against the BMW M3. Oh yeah, the M3 was slower too.

The rear half looks like a stratus, and the front looks like something Cadillac would put on an SUV....no thanks

are you at work? i usually can't see about 10-15% of the pictures, and i chalk it up to the fact that the pics won't make it through my firewall at work. we also have an automated "forbidden access" thing here that prevents them from coming through. you can't go to particular sites (surprisingly, you can still get to ebay)

oddly enough i dont think we will be seeing this soon...
reasons why

A: Opel is a german car manufacturer
B: Opel is owned in part by General Motors
C: i dont think either of those companies would want to platform share with nissan, just a hunch on my part

..... call me crazy but thats what im thinking .....

You misunderstand. Someone took a picture of an upcoming Opel (for the European market), and then altered it by putting a large Nissan symbol on it. They then posted that picture around the .net, falsely claiming it was the 2003 Maxima.
