dude it can be bought from junk yards for cheap, dealer will charge for same stuff 200-250 bucks

to paint it is not worth, because chrome part doesnt hold paint and it will peel off.

i have some nasty gold ones... would a jnkyard just sell you the handle and nothing else, or would you have have to buy other parts that go with it.. i.e. the door... and also, do you think they would sell you the front grill alone too? maybe i should just call.....

Heres some answers.

My experience with trying to buy Chrome door handels for my 95 max resulted in a bunch of wasted time because no junk yard was willing to sell just the door handels, I would have had to of bought the doors too.

The best idea would be have your parts painted. The only problem is{which a member pointed out} that Chrome is not a great surface to paint on, so what you do is sand your door handels and window trim a little bit, this will supply the paint to have a good surface to bond too. If you remove all the parts yourself and do the sanding the paint should not cost much at all.

Another thing you might be able to do is trade your parts with a fellow maxima.org member, this unfortunatly presents many complications. Example while your door handels are in transit you will have a tough time opening your door etc.
