question about warning lights??...help

Lately the BRAKE and battery lights have been lighting up in my car (and no im not driving with the parking brake on...haha). When i start the engine and start driving they ususally turn on and stay on for about 5 min then they shut off. They sometimes both periodically pop back up and then go off a few min later. I read in the manual about what they could mean...I added more brake fluid and they both still come on...AND my battery has to be fine. I just got a new optima battery like 3 months ago. What could be my problem? any help would be appreciated...

you cant drive your car when it dies because all of your electrical runs off the alternator when the car is on, otherwise it running off the battery... be sure to test your battery too because sometime a bad alternator can kill your battery

Yes you could be stranded. Usually ull be ok for a lil while if ure battery is good (Im talking a couple miles...) then it the car will die. Autozone can test to see if its dead (used to be free).. but if its goes out while driving ure stuck. Your better off replacing it now than having to get the car towed, then get it replaced.

the core is your old unit, usually they charge you a core price on items that can be repaired like alternator, starters, axles, brake calibers, etc.
