I have no signals at all....

my turning signals dont work, i have no idea what happened to them, i just realized one day that they arent working. It doesnt blink on the dashboard or make that noise at all. My hazards dont work either, inside or when your outside. I gotta drive without any signals, so no one knows when i am turning, its pretty dangerous and i can get pulled over. I checked all the fuses and they are okay, so i dont know what else i can do, anyone else have this problem before?

Just went through the FSM to see what it says for this problem. Since both hazards and turn signals went out at the same time, it's definately not the fuses in the interior. They all work on the same circuit as far as I can see. So check the associated relays located in the engine bay, near the battery. It also mentions a device called the "combination flasher unit", that could possibly be your problem. Well I'm pretty sure this is the problem from what I've read, but have no clue where this thing is located. Maybe someone else on the Org knows where this thing is at? Chime in if you know where it is people.

I know what it is my friends max gave me the same problem, its a fuse that goes right under the steering wheel, if you take that plastic cover off it just has like 4 screws, you can see it right above the gas peddlal its black and that's the one that gives you the ticking, my advise to you is go to nissan and tell them that your turning singnals dont work and tell them to show you the distributor and they will show it to you. Dont buy it from them cuz its way expensive, you can get it for cheap at a junk yard or just put it in your pocket since its small. So when the guy at nissan shows it to you, go back to your car and get under the steering wheel and you will see it!!!

This happened on my old Blazer...first they wouldn't work, then one signal turned on and wouldn't turn off, even when the ignition was off. We had to replace the relay switch.

Check to make sure the harness is plugged into your hazard switch. Not sure if you have a system in your max or anything like that but if for some odd reason it became disconnected not only will your hazards not work but your signals won't either. Just a thought
