Best PSI for Yokohama Avid V4S?
Best PSI for Yokohama Avid V4S?
I just bought these tires off of Tire Rack and had them put on at VIP Auto Center and they seem really bouncy. I just checked and they put 40 psi in them. When I drive over a bump I get the coushiony feel like I remember feeling in my Grandfather's mid 80's Caddy. I had Goodyear Eagle RS-A on before and they always felt much more sporty and from reading the reviews on Tire Rack is seems that these tires should have that sporty feel. What would be the best PSI to put in them?
P.S. I also had a hell of a time getting these tires balanced. The first time they did it the whole car would shake at 60. I had them do it again and now it shakes between 55 - 65 but stops as soon as I get over 65. I think I will bring the car to a more expensive tire shop to get them balanced correctly. Anyone else have this problem?

i dont have those tires so i cannot comment on the balancing issue. 40psi is good bit high. typically too high of psi will lead to a harsher ride. if it gets too high then you can wear the center of the tread prematurely. nissan says 32 all around but i find 35 works pretty well for me. just make sure you check/change the psi when the tires are cold.
