that's a normal thing with front wheel drive cars. Just hold it with two hands.

I suggest that you dont mod your car as it only gets worse with more power....

its called torque steer....its fairly common in our High Performance FWD cars...to get rid of can get expensive and it usually doesnt go away just hold on tight and enjoy the ride

you have one drive wheel, when you accelerate hard you're applying force to that tire which is trying to accelerate faster then the rest of the car, so in essence your car is trying to spin around its own center of gravity, which, of course cannot happen due to being securely seated on four tires, but this results in the torque steer you're experiencing...

it's less evident in RWD cars simply because they dont steer the car

Yes, unfortunately none of the U.S. maximas came with a Limited Slip Differential (LSD). So if one wheel has more traction than the other wheel upon hard acceleration, your car will pull in that direction. Here's a link to how they work (I haven't read the article to see if it is any good, I just googled it):

http://auto.howstuffworks.com/differential9.htm

The transmissions of some Canadian I30's and maybe maxima's came with LSD. There are also a few aftermarket one's. If you ever need a new tranny, try to find one with LSD!

his case sounds a bit more than torque steer, the car slowly going to the left or right direction when accelerating hard is normal torque steer, but if the steering wheel is "jolting" out of his hands to a right, sounds like some else could be going on.

Well, a car with good suspension has a pretty good amount of jerk when you floor it. Especially my car b/c of the Valvebody mod's fast shifts.

If his case is more severe, it might indicate a suspension issue.

My 95 max would jolt right if i did a hard acceleration from a stop, i think its just normal torque steer and i think its fun

Yeah. I need two hands on the wheel when I floor it. Jerks from a standing start. Next jerk from 1-2. And even jerks from 2-3 (b/c of valvebody mod and quick shifts).

I'm 95% certain that your car is just fine. I wouldn't worry about it unless you have other problems with steering and handling.

lsd,(limited slip diff) as mentioned above is one of the few ways to correct this... try quaife... usually over 1000$ though...
