Clicking noises when braking

So for awhile now my car makes these pretty loud clicking noises when braking. I changed all of my brake pads not long ago, so I was wondering if anyone had this similar problem and could give me any advice to fix it. Thanks

check your axles probably the boots are bad...and there is no grease on them...you may need to replace them...

I may be having a similar problem. And it happens sometimes, not all. When I step on the brake, I get one clean "snap" sound. It's loud. I checked my boots and they're not cracked or leaking. So it's not the axle. There's definately something loose under there though. When I go over a large bump, I hear a clunking sound also. Maybe I have two problems? No idea what it is. I'm gonna take it to the shop this week and find out what the prob is. I can fix things if I know what the hell it is. I'm just bad at diag.

Edit: The sound comes from my driver side suspension. I figure I broke something when I took one too many high speed off ramps. All that pressure on the front driver's side, had to have tore up something. I'll find out what the hell it is and post the results in a few days.

Just came back from my mechanic concerning the noise I had when braking.^^^^

Turned out to be the pads moving around. He applied a blue substance to the back of the pads. It fixed the problem. He told me it was a "glue" of some sorts. I dunno, all I know is it don't go "SNAP!!" when I apply the brake.

Hopefully this is the problem you're having. It was a quick and cheap fix. He charged me 20 bucks to diag and fix it. I love that guy.

If the repair guy says your brakes are fine, they're fine. Brakes squeak sometimes. As long as it stops, that's all that matters.

Apply the anti-squeal lube to pad where the piston presses on the pad. Small pack of lube comes with many good pad sets. Also, make sure the 2 return spring are in place.

I am experiencing some noise and it may be the wheel bearing, sounded similar to a braking issue...

This may not be of much help but squeaking can be caused by many things. I'm willing to bet one of the most common causes are dirty rotors. They simply get dirty from dirt, debri, and brake dust. You can either buy brake cleaner or use intake cleaner to clean them up. I'm going into the garage right now to spray some intake cleaner on mine actually since they've gotten a little noisy over the past few weeks
