Dumb question...removing engine cover

What should I use to remove the engine cover? Allen wrench? I tried a screw driver(flathead) and started to strip one of the screws, so I stopped immediatly. Maybe a little bit of wd 40 on them might help?

if they are that tight, PB Blaster fluid will get the job done as far as getting a bolt loose

If you find that the bolts are too tight, simply slip a small pipe over the end of the allen key you are turning so that you can distance yourself from the bolt and apply more torque with less effort. Just a helpful hint.

Hahaha, yea, damn screws, too many of them. I'm still confused at how easy that one from my intake broke, too easy.

I've used a flat head screwdriver many times when I didn't have an allen wrench handy, work almost all of them. Obviously not this time. Wonder why they made it so you couldn't use a socket wrench.

Obviously I didn't have one around so I tried figuring it would work. Not a big deal.
