sway bar bracket bent. what to do?!

on one of the brackets that holds the bar longitudinally to the car, the lower flat conecting pies is bent for some odd reason, kinda like a fold in the corner. SHould i worry about it? anyone else ever had this problem befores? its wierd because its the only part thats bent, the other corners are fine.

OK, so it is the bracket that attaches the u-bolt to the axle. Have you tried installing it and seeing if the bend interferes with the install? Pics might help as well.

Pull it off and take a hammer to it on an anvil and straighten it out. Shouldn't hurt anything. Just be more careful driving over any curbs in the future.

When I torqued my nuts the brackets started to bend onto the beam so I'd imagine if his bend isn't significant it may just work it's way out during the install.

Happened to me too when installing that I slightly bent the bracket while torquing it over the trailing arm beam. I have it on for more than 10K now with no probs...
