Today I was accelerating in 3rd gear when at about 6000 rpms it felt like I hit the rev limiter (like I hit a brick wall). I upshifted to 4th and same thing, then to 5th and SAME thing. I then put it in neutral for a few moments, put it back in 5th and it was fine.

Now I've been having a recurring slight hesitation in every gear at just about any rpm when I give it gas and it has been getting worse and worse for the last month. To tell you the truth it irritates the **** out of me.

I have many mods but the main ones that might contribute to this are ACT clutch, Fidanza flywheel, MEVI and JWT ECU.

Maybe your MEVI isn't working ... Any codes?

 

I am sure my MEVI is working. I went 5 months without it working so I know the crappy feeling of it not opening.

No codes out of the ordinary.

i think he means that when he shifted it didn't matter what rpm he was at it just wasn't doing anything

 

I had that happen once to me, but it kicked in 2 gear around 5000RPM. Very weird feeling.

was your gas tank empty??

I was on E once and it just cut off the fuel and a rev limiter kicked in at around 5k.

I was like wtf, then i realized my gas light was on, and put the two together and i realized it was just cause i had no gas.

 

6000rpm in 5th gear is only about 144mph guys... cake for an MEVI/JWT ECU car.

As far as what's going on, no idea.

My car did that as well when I was on E. I was freaked out.

 

good idea, it feels like the same feeling when you unplug the MAF and it wont go past 2k rpms.
Also my RPM gauge has been going crazy lately, every so often it just drops to 0 and then pops back up. Then every time I accelerate it jumps down instead of up....
