a rattling originaed wen i had the y-pipe installed, so i have now just got around to tryin t figure it out. the only thing i could think that could make the noise is the metal piece that covers the cat, where the y bolts on....is it needed, yes or no?? recommended? if not, that bish is comin off, thanks for the quik answers!

I gottas pull my heat shield off.....its happening to 6th gens when some miles get on them...a buzz when the gas is pressed.

 

check the two brackets holding up the b-pipe. they may have rusted loose and rattle around. mine do and this weekend i gotta take them off or take a closer look.

 

before the sound only started wen i was in "D", so i turned it on just now and put it in "d", no sound....yet. we'll see tho. oh, and I CANT GET THE STUPID EVAP CVCV CODE OFFFFFFFF! wut the hell is wrong with the thing?? wuts usually the problem with those things? POS thing
