11:10 PM going from Waterbury to Hartford..

I am getting off the ramp from I-84 in Hartford merging on I-91 heading to bloomfield and some psycho is coming down behind me at a fast rate of speed .. so i decide that after i am off the ramp I am going to gun it.. redline and all..

So i get off the ramp and i take off.. then he starts to flash his brights.. i figured maybe i cop was in the area so i slowed down to 70 mph (legal speed limit) and not paying attention.. by the time i look up.. i see these head lights charging towards me real fast.. by the time i can grab 3rd.. he flys by me... by the time i get to 80 mph .. he has 3 cars on me... at 100 mph i am right behind him and about to pass him.. at 120 i have 4 cars on him.. and by 130 i have 10 cars on him (guessing he had a speed limiter.. oh boy.. don't I know how that feels ) .. so i slow down to 90..

Once again.. here he comes charging with the lights coming up fast .. this time i am ready for him and at 80 mph i grab 3rd Gear before he is even close.. by the time i get to 90 mph he is on my bumper and then 100 mph i have 2 cars on him... 120 i have 6 cars on him.. then i shut it down.. he took the next exit so i didn't get a chance to ask him if he had a limiter or anything..

and for all you others out there big rims <> slow

FYI: Since i have NOS i must always say this .. I DID NOT SPRAY ON HIM .. jeez i feel like an innocent skunk

Sprint, you should be embarrassed to have written this. That 'kill' was a total waste of gas. Try a SC Regal or a GTP next time. And since when is the legal speed limit in CT 70?

I'm just waiting for a long winded post about how you're evil/stupid/dumb/pathetic/possessed/enraged/blah/blah/blah and how you shouldn't go 130 on the roads and you might kill someone or hurt yourself......

He did the right thing. Some people think they can beat the Max so he showed the guy what he was up against.

Let me guess: those dang automagic drivers kept you from hitting 145 in the "light" GXE.....

And I do commend you on your kill.....

And cut off a busload of school children, causing the bus driver to run the bus into a guardrail.

Um not a biggie. Alero's have a speed limiter at 110mph I believe so a run from a dead stop might be a lil more interesting. Aleros aren't as slow as some people think they are as I read through the thread...they have that lousy speed limiter. That guy was an idiot from the sound of it anyways...

thats what i thought..

if it was from a dead stop it would be the same result.. i ran 14.7 (i think i told you this before) before my Straight Pipe (i am guessing .2/.3 secs off) so about 14.4/14.5 .. and if Alero's ran 14's i think i would be more aware of them

Wow your car is very quick for sure! 14.4 and not even running the NOS? Damn your car must be in the low 13's with NOS? A race is race...you don't know what he has under the hood either plus I assume you have a 5spd since you are doing low to mid 14's so missing a gear is possible sometimes. With all the kids and people running baby bottles these days you gotta be aware of just about anything.....why would someone "spray" on a public highway against someone? I am assuming there isn't money or pick slips at stake?

Sprint -

Where did you get your test pipe? What did it run you? Is it just the size of the cat, or does it span the y-pipe to the b-pipe and get rid of that extention?

I told my local muffler guy about the problems i was having after 4500 rpm and how the car felt like it was loosing power.. i asked him if he thought my CAT might be clogged.. then he suggest the test pipe

I think it goes from the y pipe to the b pipe.. i havn't looked under the car yet... it cost me a total of $40..

god i love this pipe
