I am installing Sparco seats with a 4 point harness. Now my problem is strapping the harness behind the seats. I know people put them to the rear seat's belt mounts. Well that look ugly to me. Does anyone sell a setup for a 4thgen. I have dezinged a few setups with a couple friends. i.e. master welder and engineer.

Option 1>
We came up with a strut bar style frme connector, which eliminates foot room for rear passengers.

Option 2>
WElding plate mounts to the sufbframe with aircraftnuts and grade 8 bolts hold the belt mounts down. the center hump would be saddled in and out with the mounts to hold the inner part of the seatelts. use your imagination.

Option 3>
A 5 point cage with mounts for the belts. Problem with this is that you lose the bcak seats even if you ran the roofline into the rear deck. This would really be my last option at the moment.

Well if anyone here has done somethng diff. or knows of a estup for sale. Inform me. It would be grealty appreciated.Thanks

Oh I will. The seats will be in this week. But the harness will be later due to the fact, I don't know what setup we are gonna use yet.

So ne one do this mod before? I am still playing with ideas and would like to know more.

 

Good luck, I wanted to do that too. But if I got pulled over it would make it really hard to convince the cop that I did not mean to speed. About the only thing worse you can do is keep a helmet in the passenger seat.

 

I keep my helmet in the trunk.
