ahh finnally fixed rattling under my car :)

Well i finally fixed it. It was annoying me sooo much. It turned out to be the midpipe. THe long metal piece that u slide the rubber hanger onto was way toooooo long.so it would rub up against something on my car. So what i did was i stripped a piece of 0 gauge wire and it fits perfectly around the part on the mid pipe that was made too big. And that solved my problem .

the midpipe hanger was tooo long and it was banging against the bottom of my car on slow acceleration.

I had the same problem on my 95 GXE. I fixed it by looping a couple of large hose clamps together with a large rubber o-ring as a buffer. Once I installed this, the noise stopped. (Of course, I don't know how long the hose clamps will last before rusting out...)

I had a somewhat simiilar problem cept my was with the heat sheild and it was dancing around under my car when I was driving it was soo annoying i got it welded off...

My heat shield got taken off by one of the fattest raccoons I have ever seen...

most mechanics rip off the heat shield anytime they hear any rattling from underneath
