alignment questions boy do I need help!!

I am having new tires put on next week and I am sure that the previous owner has not had an alignment done on the car so I am going to have it done.
As I was calling around for a price qoute some people told me that all four wheels need to be aligned and other people told me that there is no adjustments on the back. I got price ranges from $48 - $100

So what do I need to tell these guys so I sound like I know what I am talking about and I get a good job done for a fair price?

Thank you for your help.

since the rear is just the single beam, an alignment is not needed. if you need to align the rear, it is most likely because something is bent of broken.

also, NmexMAX: 32 + tax!???!? how'd you get that deal? if i can't find anything that low, what is a good price? 50??

The reason I started this thread was because of all the confusion I was getting from several auto shops when I called for an estimate. I called the service department of my local dealer and he to told me that they were all four adjustable then as we talked for awhile he said he would ask someone else, what he came up with was all four wheels were adjustable up until 1994 then only the fronts were adjustable then in 2004 they started making all four adjustable again.
I hope this helps.

If you are looking for a one time job and not a lifetime it should be around $35-$45. Although I got the hook up at brake check for $20 flat.

That pisses me off - I just replaced my tires at a local tire chain, that advertises "free front end alignment." Needless to say I was caught off guard when I was charged to do the rear alignment, as well ($60 or so). If you have a 4 weel alignment machine, can you only align two wheels, or do you have to align all four?
