I was wondering if anyone knows where the factory alarm reset switch is located on a 1997 nissan maxima. I have this one light that always stays on and i think i need to reset the switch. Please let me know if you know where its located

 

I don't think there is one. The alarm light doesn't usually stay lit. It does hold solid for about 30 seconds after you arm the alarm, but should flash after that. It also flashes if you leave any of the doors, hood, or trunk open.

Try disconnecting the battery for a little bit and see if that clears your light problem.

 

you can also try putting the key into the door lock and turning it to the lock then unlock positision. don't know if that helps, but if the factory alarm is going off, that's one way to silence it.
