the red matches pretty well, but if I were you and couldn't get a perfect match, cuz it would bug the hell outta me, I would do the DTM mod. it would look good on a dark car.

read his note at the bottom. he went from niteshades to candy apple red and wants to know if he should go back to tint or not.

I think you matched the color very well. I've seen others where the color was just off. Good job man.

I think I am the only one here who likes the stock-amber part.....

The black tinted ones look a lot better as it flows with the car.

I've been hearing about these tails from David L. I guess they're that much better than after market tails? Anyone have any pics of them? I've never seen one.

DavidL's:

I just bought a set off ebay a few days ago and they should be here any day now... I'm really excited. I think they look the best for us 95-96ers out there (and there sure are a lot of us).

I'd leave it with the red as it looks more consistent. The dark would look nice if you tinted the entire taillamp, IMHO, but then that would cut down on the safety aspect.

More info on this David L. please? I'm interested. I had planned to leave mine original, and the GD issues have made me evn more hesitant about doing it, but I'd like to get more info just in case I change my mind...
Thanks

Maximized Jigg:

You're not the only one....

But, if I had to choose between red or black, I'd go with the red. The turn signals aren't bright enough as it is, then you add tint.... I don't care for it.

david L tails arnt really a manufactured tail light, APC had a limited production of ALL CLEAR outer tail lights for the 95/96 model year. If you can find a set of these people paint them with testors candy apple translucent paint to match the inner light. and bam red clear for 95/96
