Those with Carbon Fiber Trunk

I just got and installed my CF trunk from Ionic. Looks great except the surprise I got when I opened the trunk.

I took one of the tension metal rod off but I want to get the other rod off too but it's so freakin hard.!@#!$

What did you guys do with your trunk flying open? I'm just looking for some ideas and alternatives.

It's not hard to take the tension rods off. You need to jam a pry bar where is makes a "]". I just took both of mine off.

how much is a cf trunk? my trunk is rusting like all hell and it needs to be replaced...

Ionic has them on sale now for $625 shipped, although I got it much cheaper.
