245/40/18 overkill?

well im upgrading to 18s soon and need some advice. ive driven my max with my friends 18" rotas with 245/40 BF Goodrich KDWs and the grip is unbelieveable. do i really need that big of a tire or will 235s suffice? thank guys.

235 will suffice even 225 will suffice but if you have the money go with 245.

all depends on how wide the wheels are. If they are 7.5", get 235s. If they are 8" or 8.5", get 245s

i have 245/40/18 and they are much better then 225's no rubbing at all
