Maybe overkill but has anyone done ...
I saw under the hood of a supra where the person relocated the oil filter. In addition they had heat sink and a magnet bolted around the oil filter.
They said the heat sink provides additional cooling and the magnet is said to trap metal particles smaller than the filters capability from recirculating to the engine.
Is this overkill or has anyone here done this for their max?

I'm assuming this is a modded Supra, if so it would make sense to do something like that. For example you put a T-78 turbo in that car and run 20 plus PSI, your going to get a ton of heat. Like with my 3rd gen RX-7 that I had when I ported the waste gate and put in bigger twin turbos I raised the boost and the car would run much hotter, vented hood helped that, but my point is that if the supra was turbo and anytime you have forced induction you generate more heat.
