Whirring noise explained in detail. *PLEASE HELP*

Ok I'm not sure if you guys saw my other threads or not but here's whats basically going on. When the key is in the "on" position I get a "whirring" noise from the tranny. When the car is "D" I still hear that whirring noise but the tone of it sounds a little different. The whirring noise disappears in Reverse, or in park or neutral. The whirring noise is also less subtle in gears "2" or "1".

The tranny was rebuilt by Maximum Tuning. Other than these little nuisances the tranny is functioning as it should. But I am afraid that these problem will escalate into larger problems. If this continues I will have to ask Max. Tuning for my money back, because to me this is intolerable. The tranny was built to BRAND NEW condition with graphite internals, stage II.5 VB, etc. It was built to be semi bullet proof.

Well I took it to Maximum Tuning. I want to state for the record. The car drives fine, shifts fine, shifts are nice and crisp as they should be. I was told that the solenoids since they are aftermarket performance solenoids are DOUBLE the size of the OEM solenoids. They are constantly getting power when the key is in the "on" position, and obviously when the car is running. The whirring I'm hearing is the solenoid since 1.) It is much larger, and 2.) It has more pressure running through it.

I would imagine my "O/D OFF" light and "SES" light would flash/come on if the solenoids were messed up. And also the car would probably drive funny. When diagnosing the problem Jeff didn't properly hook up one of the connectors. The "whirring" did go away but the car would not downshift into first, and the shifts were very late, as late as 2200-2500 RPMS. Once we saw that the connectors were not in properly we put them back together and the whirring came back but the car was shifting driving as it should.

Any other input?
