Help!!!!! Clutch Will Not Disengage

it won't go into gear when car is on and if you put it in gear and crank it up it tries to move without giving it any gas, also cannot pull it out of gear while car is on
any ideas?

Sounds to me like you need a clutch.

Change to see if you have fluid in the clutch master and also check if the top of the gear box is wet with fluid. I have the same problem and I had a leak.

Can you pull it out of gear when the car is off?

I'm thinking there is no fluid in your clutch slave.

it's sitting in vortecpower's garage and yes, i tried moving it in gear but then it won't even let me go into neutral, i think the clutch is f***ed so i ordered an exedy and it should be here in the morning, yes the only way to change the gears is while the engine is off

I had this same problem. It turned out my master cylinder had a leak. It was helped temporarily by adding some fluid and pumping the clutch pedal many times. After replacing the master cylinder, problem went away.

Sounds like a hydraulic problem. My first guess would be the slave cylinder. Try to pull the pedal back with your hand. It should pop right back.

Its great that you got a clutch. But you can replace the clutch and nothing will be fixed. The hydraulics still wont work right.

Our cars suffer from a leaking slave cylinder hose. Check the fluid in the clutch reservoir. If it has sufficient fluid, then its a possiblity the throw out bearing must have ed. I had the same problem about a 2 months ago, and now my brothers car is in the shop for the same reason. His is b/c the throw out bearing broke. So hes replacing the whole clutch. I had no fluid in mines and had to bleed for a very long time to get all of the air out of the lines...
