wheel vibration at high speeds

ok. i can't find the previous thread where i spoke about my problem...

driver-side wheel was hit sideways in the accident. nothing was wrong, just the allighment. DID: Balancing, Allighment, New Rim, machanic sujested changing control arm: CHANGED. nissan did not find any problems and sujested new tires: CHANGED ALL 4 NEW. and every time the vibration was less. however, i still feel the vibration when i make left turns on the highway at about 80 mph. what can be wrong if the vibration starts when wheel is turned?

A hit to the wheel in a collision should always include a hub and bearing replacement. Thats probably where your vibration is coming from. Given some time, the bearing will most likely fail. Make sure the axle is in good shape as well, there should be no play in the outter CV joint.

that maybe be it. i told nissan to replace everything that might be broken. they told me everything is ok and it's just the tires.....how much would it cost to replace a hub and a bearing?

need

i have vibrations between 60 and 80 mph and i have had the wheels balanced. my car was never in an accident. Maybe try a wheel shop that does high speed balancing. I have heard that some shops are using machines that only spin your tires to 15 mph.

flat spots on tires also cause vibrations, you know when you brake hard at high speeds

I had the same thing, had the wheels balanced and still vibrated. Went back and was told one tire had a high spot and thats the best they could do. Bought another tire under warranty and now vibration stopped. Now, why they didnt tell me to begin with I dont know.

Definatly check the wheel bearing. It sounds like when you got it, the bearing got bent up alittle.

Sounds like you have a belt shifted in one of your tires. Take your car to a place that has road force balancing. It will tell them weather or not the belts or even the sidewall have problems.
