Exhaust
SAFC II

#'s seems a bit weak. do you have a baseline for stock?

It's not low. Y-pipe's give precisely jack sh*t on 5.5 and 6th gens because they don't remove the precats like on 4th gens. Intake gives nothing and I doubt his y-pipe/exhaust combo gave him more than 10whp, so his stock dyno must've been around 210-215whp, which is better than 5.5 gens.

9whp/8wtq from simple A/F tuning is pretty damn good, would have given even more with some headers probably.

They need to stop being pu$$ies and take your car to 6550.

Otherwise strong #'s ... And nice curve, hardy no drop off in higher rpms.

my question is why did you waste money on a y-pipe. They clearly do barely anything for 5th and 6th gens.

They do as much for 00-01 5th gens as they do for all 4th gens.. Did you mean 3.5L equipped 5th gens .. like a 5.5g since it's almost a 6th gen, but still resembles the original 5th gen

And also, tehy don't have headers readily available for 6th gens at the moment, ... they're in for some custom fitting, check the 6th gen forums ...

you could easily get another 5whp or so with more tuning up top. Yes I would tune it to 13.5 a/f...

Yes sorry if I wasn't being 100% clear. 3.5L equipped maximas are wasting there money on y-pipes.

6th gens definitly gain power from a y-pipe cuz it removes the main cat but doesn't on the 5.5 gen. I've driven before and after y-pipe on a 6 speed 6th gen. Also haven't heard anyone with it that didn't feel a differnce.

so basically its like putting a test pipe on a 5.5 gen with a y pipe. That usually gains about 2whp so I seriously doubt the 6th gen gains much more than 6-8whp from a y pipe that deletes the main cat.
