5-speed 4th Gen Maximas with stock ABS

I'm a bit confused, after reading the stickies and looking around online it said that ABS was an option on all 4th Gen maximas, was ABS offered on 4th gen 5-speed Maximas in every/any year of production?

I believe so. I have ABS brakes on my 95 Maxima SE, 5-speed, but I also have a limited-slip differential (LSD).

I have a 98 GXE 5 speed without ABS of course. I can't start new threads so I'll ask it here. My car has started to make whiny noises when rolling back when I start up in reverse. I think it has to do with the brakes since it does it whether I have it in reverse or in neutral and stops when I step on the brakes. The brakes don't vibrate or anything, but sometimes there's a noise when I press down on the brakes. THe master cylinder is full, though... ANy ideas?

I think your best bet is the SE 5spd. It's possible they had ABS stock or buyers for the SE most likely opted for it anyway.

I don't have ABS and frankly, I can't tell the difference between this and my mom's Buick with ABS. I've only slammed on the brakes a couple of times and locked the wheels once, but I was only going around 50mph. Left a nice patch of rubber behind though!

ABS brakes were optional on 95SEs, IIRC.

IIRC ABS was an option on all years 4th gen. When i was in search of my dream max (Black 99 SE-L 5spd w/ Black Leather and Auto A/C by the way and still havent found it ) the one 99 SE-L i did find did not have ABS. I found out the easy way by accelerating to like 70mph and slam on the brakes! Long screeeech = No ABS.

on the 70mph ABS Detection Method...

The Canadian guys have LSDs because they're Canadian... All Maximas sold in Canada had LSDs.

ABS was an option on all Maximas, as far as I know. But yeah... Count me as one more '95 SE that has it.
