How much power can I get, and what mods look best?

I've got a '99 SE that's painted a dark green. She's all stock except for a K&N filter. Now here's my questions:

1. How much power can I realistically expect from this 3.0L engine? Who makes cams for the damn thing, as well as intake manifolds and heads? I hear Stillen is a good company for superchargers, body kits, and exhaust stuff. I really want to stay away from that lawnmower sound I see all the Hondas buzzing around town have. Who makes a free flowing exhaust that's not obnoxious? Where can I find these parts for the best prices?

2. What kind of appearance and suspension mods are the most effective? I've already got a set of Eibach ProKit springs on my '84 Trans Am and really like them. I think eventually I'll get a set on my Maxima. I like the five star stock rims on my SE, but I'd like something maybe a little bigger, while still maintaining a conservative look. How about strut tower braces and polyurethane bushings? I'd like to know where I can find all of these goodies.

What do you guys think???

Cattman stocks a lot of neat stuff like FTSB and RTSBs, cold air (which I just put on today), y-pipes and the like. They also stock Konis and coilovers that they apparently fabricate themselves (I have no idea how nice they are). Courtesy Nissan makes a nice FTSB also which I own and like a lot. I suggest tirerack.com to scope out different wheel sizes and types (I'm looking at 18s )

I don't know who makes headers and intake manifolds and stuff but I'm curious to find out! Also I don't know how much power you can get with NA but I'm going to find out eventually

Did you have to cut a hole in your wheelwell for the CAI inlet? I'd like to stay away from doing that if possible.

Yes it was fun too

If you look at where the hole is located (pics in the Shop Talk/Modifications section), you'll see it is right beside the battery and almost hidden by the fuse box. Even if you had to take it out to sell it I doubt anyone would notice it.

It makes horsepower. It looks neat. And it only gets really loud when you give it a lot of throttle, otherwise it almost sounds stock I'm happy...

you have to cut a hole, but it fits perfectly and looks great installed. it also sounds alot better than the other intakes out there.

If I wanted to put on wider rims and tires, would the CAI hit the new wider tires?

The best place for you to check out are the FAQs on Maxima.org and the MaxFAQ. For easy bolt-ons you can go with an Intake (JWT or CAI, if you want to cut a hole), Exhaust, Ypipe, UDP. Stillen is a good source for parts, but they aren't cheap either. got rice (Phuong) is on this board, and has good prices if you'd like to buy from him. I don't believe finding cams/headers/intake manifolds is going to be easy, but if you really want one look around. Maximas have decent aftermarket support, but nothing like you'd find for Fbodies and Hondas.

I think you can fit 19's without any problems. and for width 8 or 8.5 should fit without problems.
