Well this might be the end folks

Someone stole the maxima today. Aug 31. Inbetween 12:00-5:00 pm.

I know there are a few 3 gen locals on this board. Let me know if you see it around. Or the parts. Not many running the Z track editions or especially the polished Z calipers. Not too sure who would want the maxima perse. But a Nissan freak might want the wheels and calipers for a 5 lug. ie.. 240sx kid.

Found it sans wheels of course. Police called. But the car was gone to the towing yard before I could take a look. Golf clubs and junk are probably gone. Hope they didn't fubar the ign too much so I can throw some wheels on it to get him home.

What to hear the funny thing? Damn this was at this ghetto extented stay hotel NEXT door to my work! Fawkers!

Update tomorrow I guess

Exactly man. Police dude was talking to me. "we found the car, do you want to pick it up?" Well is it drivable? "I don't know, I haven't seen it". *thinking, you're an idiot* Well can you take a look? "Okay I'm pulling up now" "Nope it's on blocks" Can you see if the ign is all busted? "Um okay arrange it with the towing company". *still thinking he's an idiot* Um okay will do (while struggling from yelling at the guy)

I can just see the towing company scraping the jackity jack out of the rotors/bottom of the car while getting it on the flatbed.

I'll probably have to use the G wheels for a short time. Glad I didn't ship them yet. Then try to find some more wheels. I hope my buddy still has those 350z touring 18s.

Sorry to hear that Jeff! At least they recovered the car, so all of your hard work isn't destroyed.

Did they steal it from your work or at your house? I can't believe it was taken in the middle of the day. Brave little *****.

fawkers

now I am scurred to drive my car to any big cities. I just leave it in the garage and hope this doesn't happen to me.

You NW crew guys need to contact Ben, get some guns and become vigilantes.

Thankfully, with so much wealth here in Boston, my car is hardly a target but I feel for ya, it sucks having your hard work ripped away by the scum of the earth.

I have guns, but it doesn't help when they jack your car and are long gone. Like Jeff said, it was probably some dumb azz 240 kid looking for a set of nice "drifting wheels."

I have guns too, one on each arm

I just hope it was just the wheels and everything else is fine. Although I think he'll be shopping for new golf clubs though. Would be pretty pathetic if they took the car seat

Saw it. Just took the wheels and left a cherry pop spray all over the interior. Looks like just the wheels are missing. Left everything else. Gonna have it towed to the bodyshop anyway as there's a dent or two. Might get some other work done also.

I wonder if they were able to drive it or had to push it. How's the lock? Broken window?

Jeff, i know these guys probably aren't the brightest crayons in the box, but i would suggest changing the frequency on your garage door, i am assuming you have a garage door opener, because you dont know if they may want seconds and coppied the frequency from your opener. it may sound mcgyverish but its a possiblity.

-you gonna edit this post too?

Depending on what I would have gotten fron insurance. I got quite a bit when someone totalled my old max with less work. Anything from a 2005 G35 sedan, Audi A6 4.2/2.7TT to a I35/3.5VQ maxima/altima to just an old I30. Definately a sedan of some sort. I lug my kid around.

They probably owned a VG/VE or still do, and just walked up to Jeff's car with their key and it worked. Seems alot of the keys for our cars are the same.

Highly unlikely. There's not exactly a lot of 3rd gens on the road anymore. Most have been wrecked or retired.

What is your definition of not a lot? Besides mine, I see at least two different ones a day.
