Dyno Results From Electric Leaf Blower Like On Ebay

okay guys, first off i would NEVER put an ebay electric supercharger aka leaf blower in my car. its just that i have seen countless inquiries about this ebay "blower" and it has been flamed every time (justifiably so) without dyno proof. well gentleman, the time has come to validate the leaf blower

I did that to my friends metro.....We used a power inverter and ran a switch into the cabin. It actually made a big difference(considering its a 55 hp car).

In all seriousness though..

A turbo setup runs ~ 4g

Why not just hook up a compressor to blow the air in?
you can easily get 12psi out of any compressor..

Is it because you arent supposed to have high psi with low gas?

I'm a complete noob with the turbo.. so dont flame lol

an air compressor doesnt flow egnough air (measured in cfm) to be useful. It will probably just negate the pumping losses. And youd be hauling the weight of an air compressor and the eletircal load of one as well. better off sticking a 2 gal gas tank for a gas blower like they did some where in the engine compartment or some where close.

Its better to have the same power to weight ratio but lighter then the same p/w and heavier as its easier on the clutch, tranny, axles, etc.

a compressor weighs like 50lbs max..
and that blows 120psi..

you need like 15 max..

and airbrush compressor would do that..
they weigh like 15lbs max

compressors don't provide enough CFMs, PSI doesn't matter when you're not getting enough volume

can't wait to see your car with a leaf blower under the hood though

So what’s the conclusion, it’s some BS or we all order and install it as soon as it gets shipped? lol

Seriously

Problem is, they build up pressure and release it. You need constant flow, this is why turbo's exist.. hence the unit of measurement for airflow cfm. Sure, you could use an airbrush compressor, but it would have to be spliced into the intake some how with a valve that allows its built up pressure to be relieved, which then would die out and you would get a few seconds of extra air pressure.

This video works because a leaf blower constantly pushes out massive amounts of air, your compressor won't do that.
