ok well my ses light came on like 10 months back, and the guy said it was bank 2 o2 sensor. he deleted the code( i dont know the actul #) anyway it just came on again but it says 1320 my book didnt go that high so i checked on here and every1 is saying ignition coils.

i never had a problem except one day the car like didnt wanna move but once i hit the highway everything was fine(drove about 1/4 mile from work to a highway). that was about 2 mos ago it did that and no SES light. soooo now do u think its the coils? and one day it just misfired? cuz i havent had any problems since i am thinking its not the coils it hasnt done what it did at work to me only that one time. ( i started the car. i let it warm up about 45 sec. then put in reverse rpms dropped to like 200 i put in drive same thing. drove home and about 1/4 mile when i hit the highway and hit the gas it started working again and no ses??????

can any1 help? any1 have/had similar problems i dont wanna replace my coils and that not be it...cuz i am gonna buy plugs as well...

 

Sorry. Sounds like the coils to me. Do you still have a warranty? Bring it to the dealership if so and have them do a diagnosis. They will be able to tell you which cylinders are misfiring.

 

AAAGH!!!

1. If the SES is lit right now, what EXACT codes are you getting?
2. If you are seeing the P1320 codes right now, you need new coils.

 

a P1320 is definitely a coil issue. I have seen several different scenarios. The first is, you get a P1320, but your car runs find. It will continue to run fine for several months and then performance will deteriorate until the point where your car is undrivable. I have seen a P1320, and then the car runs fine for 2 weeks and then the performance deteriorates until the point where the car is undrivable. In all of these situations, resetting the ECU and wiping the SES code only caused it to come right back I have seen the situation where the car is experiencing a ton of spark knock, but no SES code, and it was a problem with the coils.

Regardless, if you have a P1320, reset the ECU. If the code comes back, then you can wait until your coils start to fail horribly, or you can replace them now. If the P1320 does not come back, then you might be okay, but I would bet that your coils will go pretty soon. Good luck

 

yea i deleted it 7 days ago now and it hasnt came on yet i am just waiting to see when it does last time like i said my friend didnt tell me the code he said B2 O2 sensor so i dunno i checked the codes and it only had the p1320....

oh well thanks for the help and yes my car is under warranty but i dont wanan bring it to them w. my 20s on it i dont trust them they will scrape something like a chic w. braces. anyway i dont drive the car much i have 2 others a legend and a prelude so it may take a lil longer but my warranty is until april of 07 or 85k and i have 54 as of now so it will be up in april....thanks for the help!
