Finally a 6th Gen owner

Well, I made it back to the states from Alaska. I had a previous post asking org members there opinion on rather or not to get a 02 Acura TL or the 04 Max. Well i went with the max. I bought it from my Mother for 19K. She's temporaily in a 02 Lexus ES300 til the newly designed Max is release. I'm looking forword to getting mod ideas from you guys. Oh yeah its a Manual too.

Our Max is only a few weeks old now..

My first import. I LIKE it, I LIKE it alot!!

Big enough for the family, elegant enough for the wife and sporty enough for me!!

Heck, even the dealership experience was nice!!

I hope you enjoy your car Ryals!

Brad

Welcome,
I purchased my 6th Gen last week also and drove to Vegas to visit my family and friends.
Rides alot better than I thought with 20inch wheels. I didnt really feel that much of a diffrence but then again I didnt own it that long to get used to the 18 inch wheels it came with.

Thanks everyone!! So for my first order of business I have a question for you guys. I was driving around the Nissan Dealership and decided to check my headlights aginst a wall. The light beam and level looked fine. Anyway I backed up and looked at the lights in the tinted window of the building and found that one of the fogs is blown, also the driverside headlight is signifigantly brighter than the passenger. Now my question is should I change these myself or let the dealer tackle it? For the fogs are there any up grades that are good for them?

Surprise, surprise! 6th gen VINs start with a "1", not a "J". They are 'murrican cars, built rat here in Tennesee.

Thanks for the support! I was looking to get an 05 to save some cash but may look into an 07. I have always a fan of Nissans since I saw the abuse my mom's 94 Altima put up with and still ran like a champ! They are the only japanese import I would think about buying. I test drove a few cars before I came here and none of them seemed to stack up to the Maxima, a great car and I cant wait to have my own!

I am not concerned about the speed, I have my 87 Grand National for that, I want a quick, reliable, 4-door, somewhat luxurious, thats fun to drive and I wont get bored with. But for a 4 door of the Maxima's size it sure does move down the road!
