do you want to do this because of the red and clear tail lights? i believe custommaxima got some 95 96 clear tail lights.. why don't you just save the trouble and get it from there?

just a suggestion.. and good luck

They say you may need the bottom latch so that the trunk can close. . . I didnt manage to get the bottom latch but the hood closes fine and with no extra force at all. Only thing the trunk poper cant pop it open, I'm going to find a latch off a 97 so I can pop the trunk again.

really? you put on the 97 lid and everything works fine?

I'll try raising my latch see if that helps some, but everything is lined up perfectly.

already posted that. but he will need the taillight harnesses as well since the bulb sockets that screw into the back of the 97-99 tails are different.

If you're talking about the harnesses that are 2 inches long and that are attached to the taillights you are correct. There's no reason to remove those so I just assume they are part of the actual taillights.

i'm talking about the part the bulbs plug into...the 95-96 plugs do not twist into the back of the tails like 97-99s do.

No they will not fit! You have to purchase the 97+ harnesses for it to work.

I learned this the hard way, since I had the GenIIs I had brake lights on my inner tails but had no reverse lights till I was able to atleast get my hands on one harness.
