The other night I had the sunroof all the way open. When I went to close it by moving the sliding switch all the way forward, nothing happened. Luckily the tilt switch is able to move the sunroof through its entire motion range and I closed the sunroof that way.

When I get home tonight I'm going to try the process referenced in this thread:

I already tried resetting it by holding the tilt switch down and that didn't help. If this other process doesn't work, is there anything else I should try before I pony up the $80 diagnostic fee?

 

disconnect the battery over nite, this will reset it. My friend had a issue with his 00 Maximas auto open and close not working right. He tried the reset procedure, didnt work. After he disconnected the battery over nite for some work he was doing the sunroof magically started to work normal on its own.

 

Well...I left the battery disconnected for a couple hours and nothing's different. When I reconnected the battery the sunroof was fully closed and the sliding switch was in the closed position. I disconnected the battery again, we'll see if it's different in the morning.

Anything else I should try?

Edit: Never mind, I forgot to do the tilt up/tilt down part of the process in the other thread. Now it works!
