Couple days ago, my computer stopped beeping when key turned to ACC. (with all the lights on dash) ususally it beeps like 5-6 times what ever while the fuel pump pumps.. the car runs, and wors good.. no lights.. why did it stopped beeping? it beeps when door is open and when you put key in the ignition.. but as soon as i turn to ACC, it goes silent..

any ideas???

 

Try restarting in Safe mode... Hit F8 when you turn the key to the ACC position...

 

Its only 3 beeps, as the trip computer cycles during startup.

There may be a fuse dead.........
The chime for that might be dead.....
Both..........

 

Think of it as a blessing. I know I would because when I have to wait in my car and don't want to have the engine on just so I can run the A/C it helps to have the door open (so I can get more air in the car) without the freakin' beeping noise.

 

it still beeps w/ door open, and/or lights on.. it stops, and doesnt beep w/ key in ACC position right before you start the engine..

 

Try CTRL+ALT+Delete

Does your seatbelt light come on? Because the chime is a reminder for you to put on your seatbelt. Maybe there something wrong with the sensor for the seatbelt fastener.

 

no seatbelt light... the car isnt even started yet.. and for some reason, it started beeping again, so its all good.. i don't konw what it was, but if it happens again, i'll have someone look at it..

but some guys on here need to get a little more serious.. if you don't know, don't waste your time posting things that make no sense what so ever...CTRL+ALT+DEL
