I have the 5th gen 5 spokes and I recently bought a set of 225/55ZR16 Yokohama AVS db Decibel's and I went to mount the tires on the rims tonight and for some reason, they didnt fit. My buddy and I could only get half the tire on the rim. I dont understand why I couldnt get them on. Is it because the tires are 225s? They say the acceptable rim width is between 6" - 8". I will have my mechanic mount them on for me tomorrow which will cost $16 per wheel (which is what I was trying to save by doing it with my friend and the dealership he works at). Is the tire the wrong size? I have seen others with 225 on 6.5" before... Any suggestions would be great. Thanks, Clark.

They should fit ..
IIRC , stilnnmax put 225's on his stock 5spoke SE wheels ..
they will bulge out a bit tho cuz that is the largest size tire that you can fit on that rim .. i think

I had 225/50-16s on my stock 99 SE alloy wheels. there is a bulge, but fits correctly.
