Pioneer AVIC-N2 in a 4th gen max

I am planning on getting one of these for my 1999 maxima with bose. i plan on installing this myself. What is involved with this install? Can anyone elaborate.

If you have to ask, you might want to find a friend who knows about audio to help you. Theres Bose integration whichever method you choose (see my post in Car Audio FAQ sticky), speed sense, parking brake, the brain probably under a seat, the GPS antenna, and a couple other small things. The wiring really isnt too complicated once you sort it out even though it may look it.

Thanks i will have to take a look at that? is a $1000 for a brand new AVIC-N2 a good deal? I am pretty much a noob when it comes to audio stuff.

With all respect, if you're a n00b to mobile audio any sort of navi is not the best place to start. Have someone who knows what they're doing install it.

$1000 is def a good price for the N2. I got my N2 the beginning of sept and now they have a 300 dollar rebate

I installed my D1 without ever having installed anything else in my car! It just takes patience and research.
