Best aftermarket HP struts/springs???

I have a '97 Maxima SE with a stock suspension setup (and stock wheels, which will remain). I'd like to drop it and stiffen it (nothing too crazy, though). I really enjoy the ride as is (and yes, I realize I'll be sacrificing some of my ride quality, although I'd like to reduce some body roll. What are some of the best adjustables (other than coilovers), BTW? Thanks boyz...

because these threads are rediculously repetitive ... im not a hater but its so stupid to see the same exact thing being posted once every 2 days.... just look at the last few pages before u post ... its not that hard !...the subject has probably been covered

Where has all the love gone? Just wanted some feedback about STRUTS AND SPRINGS and, instead, I get flamed.

uh, sorry you had to find out this way, but in the 4th gen forum, there never was any love. not as long as I can remember.

i have Illuminas/S-Techs. and I love it!! but I have also heard good things about H&R's. definitely go Illuminas, and then decide the springs from there.

There was plenty of love here at one point. Most of it was even before my time here.

To answer the original question: I have AGX/Sprints, and while I'm satisfied, I'd go with AGX/Eibach if I could do it over again. Sprints are too low in the front for everyday NYC area driving.

Okay, I've only been registered for a month and I'm bored with pasting the same links.

You really can't get an objective opinion on a board because everyone thinks they've made the best choice for themselves.

My suggestion is to read as many topics as you can and think about how many people have blown struts/shocks and strut bearings.

If you're going for comfort, get H&R or Tein H-Tech springs with Illumina struts.

If you're going for handling, bite the bullet and get coilovers: Tein Basics (comfier, more solid) or Ksports (better handling, MUCH more adjustable).

I visited a local speed shop 2day to learn more about the Tein coilover set. They only offer their "basic" setup...priced around $750.00 (not too much more than Illuminas w/ H & R's or Eibach's Pro Kit). JCI also offers a coilover kit, although it's nearly $2000.00, which is FAR more than I'm willing to spend. I'm having trouble choosing the Tein's over the other kit b/c it's their lowest-end, cost-conscious offering while the Tokico's/H & R's are high end (for the type, I mean). So...should I go coilovers or a fixed ride-height system?
