Can anyone tell me how big the inlet is for the OEM 5.5 gen muffler?

 

it's 2 inches...i just measured it right now since my stock muff is just sitting in my room

Right at the muffler its around 2" but if you leave any of the piping on its less in the bends leading up to it.

I had mine cut right at the muffler and got the muffler shop to expand the inlet to about 2 1/8, can't get any larger without cracking it.

I've been trying to figure out ways to do a relatively cheap and quiet exhaust with ~2.5" piping. Guess it's gotta be the Apex'i WS2 or something, eh?
