Rumbling noise from front right wheel area.

I just recently lowered my car with sprints and KYB AGX, and at the same time i replaced both cv axels, but lately theres been a sort of rumbling noise whenever i turn left, coming from the passengerside front wheel area. Its much louder if I corner hard, but still there even in gentle cornering. It's been really bugging me, just cuz I know something is worng, but I have no idea what. Could it be wheel bearing? When I replaced the susspension I reused the old strut mounts, so could that have something to do with it? Anyways, hopefully someone can help me out, thanks a lot for any help.

I get that rumbling on my driver's side, and for my case, it is the wheel bearing. Might be the same for you. I can't think of anything else that makes that sort of sound while turning.

Its most likely your strut mounts. The strut mount has a rubber bushing underneath it, which rubs against the spring when you turn. If you have the little black plastic which goes on the top spring before you place it in the mount, intact, it shouldnt make that sound. But that insulating plastic is probably worn out in yours. It get worse depending on the temperature. If it was still over 90 degrees, it would have driven you mad. But I've discovered that at the present temperature, its not as bad as it could be.

But that seems like it would only make noise while turning the wheel, not while turning through a corner, having the steering wheel held in one position. I could of course be wrong, and I may have to look into the wheel bearing. On that note, does anyone know how to tell for sure if a wheel bearing is going bad, suchas some form of test i or a mechanic can do? Thanks again for all input.

But dont you have to turn the wheel in order to turn a corner?

Initially yes, but after i get the wheel to the neccessary angle to make the corner, i no longer turn the wheel (it is not in motion) but the car is still turning, and that is where the noise comes in, there is no noise if I turn the wheel while holding still.

It's Most Likely a bad wheel bearing. I am having the same problem... of course i am finding that everything that could possibly be worn out is on my car... anyway... yeah... just my best guess

i just lowered my car on tein s techs on gr2s and i have the same noise. I dont think it can be the wheel bearing because it would have been making that noise at stock height?

It most likely is the wheel bearing. I first noticed my bad one on the highway on big sweeping turns left but not right. Eventually I could hear it more and even going straight down the road, a rhythmic rrr...rrr..rrr.
I changed it last night, I had done a couple on my 3rd gen when I had it.
Well, if you do one beware of the abs sensor, it won't come off without breaking.
If I do the other one I will either cut and splice the wire (if possible) or trace it back to the place it connects.

Jack up the suspect wheel, grab ahold of the tire and wiggle it back and forth (left to right) as well as up and down. See if theres any play and pay attention to how far she moves. Compare it to the other side. If you're still unsure just pop that sucker outta the hub and check it visually....probably easier to take the whole hub assy to a shop and have them press it out.

It doesn't have to wobble or move to make noise under stress. I pressed out my own and put the new one in with no problem but to get it to the press the abs sensor has disconnected somehow. With a press the bearing part is actually pretty easy.
