So the rears bolt on with no modification? I've seen both gen4 and gen5 rear springs+struts...they look very similiar...always wondered if they are interchangeable

Somebody on here installed 4th gen coilovers on a 5th gen and I'm sure that they only had to slightly modify the rears

By drilling out oval holes "I believe" you can interchange that or somebody here did already. This is a great topic as it would allow for Tein's EDFC to work on a 4th gen . I should've gone that route 2 years ago but oh well...

well the bolt pattern is off quite abit. this is a 5th gen mount on a 4th gen.
it would take some modifying but sure it could work. you could then swap steering knuckles to run the appropriate front struts.

I think he was just using that to illustrate the different bolt pattern. More concerning is how the orange plastic gasket is all chewed up on the inside.

Those orange gaskets dry out and shrink, its normal. Only having one bolt holding the strut bar, with the other nut only half holding the plate is not the safest idea though. As that bar/plate flexes, it will have a natural tendancy to loosen that nut. Watch out is all I'm saying....

I have read that the front lower strut mount is WIDER on the 5th gens. But you CAN use the 4th gen springs on the front. As for the rear, I believe the bottom part is the same and it is just the upper mount that is different.
