15 minutes and of rough driving gas/engine
i drove 15 mins of rough driving but the car was laggin because i have a kncok sensor code anyways i took the oil cap off and i am sure i smelled gas...and i have horrible mpg...
when did you last check to make sure the only code you have is KS?
How was it a rough drive? did you have bad acceleration? rough idle at lights? if you just had bad acceleration and was giving more gas to compensate it could contribute to why you smell gas when you poped the hood, but if you for sure only smell gas comming from you crankcase (where the oil is) thats a problem.

she sure needs a wash, but its raining here in GA.Good luck with the car randy, a 1' long extension, universal swivel head, and ratching will make changing the KS a 5-10 min job. Took my 6 mins first try.

oil will always smell like gas after it's been used awhile because gas comes from oil. after exposure to wear and heat of the engine, slight gas fumes will occur as the oil is basically slowly burned. since the oil is never changed 100% due to some oil remaining in the pan and other areas in the engine, it may appear to get dark fast from mixing with the old stuff......(like pis$) when the oil is really thin from over wear, running hotter than usual , extended hard driving or worn engine components.
maybe i misunderstood at first when you said smelled like gas, thinking you meant more than normal.

if you think it could use a flush, it would'nt do any harm. mine has 180k and the oil and internals seem very clean. maybe just do a quick change, oil and fiter and drive a few miles to mix things up a bit and re-change both.
