Damn, that sounds so much better than my VG 5sp with fubar input shaft bearing and broken exhaust studs.

Thank you guys for the nice comments. This weekend is the last time I'll drive my 89 max I sold it to a guy for $400

well guys, the ex-89 maxima is not "ex" anymore but "present". I sold my 93 VE instead cause it had many small problems that were bugging me as well as I needed the money. I can't say I miss the VE....

I think this will be my last 3rd gen maxima. If I buy another maxima, it will be a 5.5 gen only. The current one on sale and the upcoming one lost their 4dsc soul. The chances are my next vehicle will be a Honda Accord V6 hybrid
