skyline r32 headlights

has anybody put the skyline r32 headlights in their max? I bought these a couple years ago and have been sitting around. i always wanted to put them in but popped mine out and noticed there's things in the way and nowhere to bolt them on. im sure it can be done as the look like they are the same exact shape and size. also what about making the projectors xenon? would all i need is the hid kit? thanks a bunch

Heres pics of a Maxima owner who has fitted the R32 headlights. Looks OK, but not as good as the Cefiros.

cefieros just dont look good on a max. I've seen only a hadn ful of maxs that pull it off very well, other than that its just ugly.

I know there is some minor work that has to be done in order to get the cefiros on a max but what all is involved to make it happen? I thought about going with the cefiros when I replaced my headlights but wasn't sure of what had to be done to make them work so I stuck with the standard headlights.

Because there isn't a great demand for aftermarket headlamps for our cars. Thats why we take matters into our own hands. i.e. retrofitting.

compare the true enthusiast who will stop at nothing to fix up their maximas and make it stand out from the rest, with other maxima owners. The demand is still not big enough to justify production of this particular item by an aftermarket company. Perhaps CE will take on this task someday. But I doubt if they will do it soon.

Very true. I think they look cheap. I hate the smoked ones. I think the 97-99's are without a doubt the cleanest. Just put projectors with angel eyes in those

the cefiros look ok but since i already have the r32 headlights i was looking to put those in, i think all i need to do is make a hole through some metal so the one bolt can go back further and sit in the right place. then all i guess is making some kind of bracket to bolt it in securely i could probably pull this off but may not look so hot when the hood is popped. i was hoping some people have done this and had some suggestions to give me... also, for the projector in the lamps, i think its halogen right now, so all i would have to do is buy a hid xenon kit for that right?

Look closely at those pictures from the retro'd maxima. I'm pretty sure to fit those headlights from the r32, your gonna have to trim some of the grill off. They look way cool from far away sure, but up close they just don't look right.
just my opinion.
It's your car and your gonna do what you want to it. Keep us informed.

yea those look fugin awesome . I've read that thread where the guy is making them and it seems kinda difficult. if i bought spare lamps and had the step by step to doing it, i'd be fine. but also isn't it pretty pricey to do that??
