Cheveron/techron

for the first time in my life I tried some that chevron/techron fuel injector
cleaner and I have to say, it works pretty good. Now the engine feels so
much smoother.

do anybody have knowledge of other stuff to put in our cars, something
for performance and/or maintenace.

Zmax is getting sued because their additives are basically alcohol that temporarily give you a little extra power at the expense of eating your engine up. Slick 50 also is crap because its teflon injection doesn't work apparently, unless it's chemically blended to the engine walls.

Not to mention that in a few hundred miles z-max turns into hydrochloric acid, not somthing i want in my engine, plus z-max is way to thing, whereas i thing slick 50 is to thick, althouth before i knew what i was doing i have used both of these but not both on this car, thankfully.

Actually, I believe Zmax is basically tinted mineral oil, but regardless of what it is, it aint good.

dont forget to change your fuel filter
the chemicals in the additive are too strong and they eat up the filter ellement which can potentially clog your fuel injectors
just fro your info - im not saying your car is gonna break down for sure tomorrow, just alittle preventive maintanance never hurt nobody

also about other additives - the only thing I use is an engine flush every year or so (to get all the biuldup from inside the engine) and no other crap that stays in your engine and you are not sure whether it works or not and what exactly it does to your engine. look at all the cars with 200,000mi+ that run just fine on regular oil changes. as for me - I use Mobil1 synthetic oil

no need to engine flush with Mobil-1, actually its not a good idea, and if you really feel it is necessary try doing it with LC or Auto-rx, they are not as tough on the rubber in your engine.
