the battery cover is beneath it. the ground cable is connected by a clip near the bottom of the tray. i had to remove the cable from the clip to get it to reach the negative post.

Welcome back man... glad to see you made it out of there. So where did you spend your days of glorious fun.

I spent mine in Kirkuk.

the sub issue is resolved now. i ended up looking at the fuse holder and saw that one side came off really easy. so i decided to make it a little tighter. while i had the fuse out i noticed some arc marks on it. but it was weird because the amp never turned itself off. i made sure that both sides of the fuse made good contact with the holder. i took it for a test drive and it didn't cut out on me.

I spent 4 months in Kirkuk... then took a nice flight over Bagram Afghanistan. Needless to say, after stepping off the plane, I wanted to go right back home, Iraq as a second choice

I did have fun i Kirkuk, though the Kurds are interesting... some of the time they acted like 3 yr olds.

Your welcome Rey. Glad we could source that issue. Sorry it took so long. I had a great time.

Thanks for the compliments everyone!

BTW, the 791 was all Kevin. I might be able to install a 791 one of these days.

To do it correctly, yes. I don't think he wanted to leave the brain on the front seat.

Rey's was one of my best 791 installs imo, and it shows, not only when you look under the dash, but in the time it took for the install itself. At work they expect me to do one in 4ish hours depending on the car. But thats soldering every connection. Shops other than CC or BB can have it done faster than that, being that their installers will probably have more experience than me, and that they use crimps/t-taps, whereas BB and CC solder. But I guarantee it wont look as clean as ones like rey's. It would take me 10 minutes to get to the alarm brain myself, let alone a thief who doesnt know every single screw/bolt in the car as well as i do.
