piaa vs. silverstar

I bought piaa extreme white bulbs about a month ago. The lights are whiter than standard lights and maybe even slightly whiter than silverstars, BUT, the light output seemed to be less and if you look at the car from an angle at night, they shine a very blue reflection off the backs of the reflectors (draws a lot of attention from the police). The silverstars are half the price and put more light on the road (although the light is slightly less white), and you don't have to worry about the blue reflections.... I brought my piaa lights back and went to autozone and bought the silverstars....

^^^^ He's right, you guys do know that besides HID's, stock gives out the best light output, the tinted bulbs are just whiter, that doesn't mean that they give out better output.

I've got the Xtreme Whites and like them a lot. I disagree with one of the top posts about putting light on the road compared to Silverstars. I've had both and feel the PIAA's are superior, expecially on wet roads because SS's light disappears on wet roads, while PIAA's allow you to see much better in these conditions. I like the PIAA's, although they cost.

I have Xtreme whites in my automatic. My 5spd has silverstars. I actually think the PIAA is a little better than the silverstars, but the fact of the matter is 9004 suck, both bulbs suck.

I really hate them now after driving my mom's '02 Max. Oh well soon to have E46 projectors.
