My wife has now killed both the front and rear skins. Anyone have an idea what kind of money I am looking at? It is a bright silver GLE.

To make a long story short, the other day we were leaving for work at the same time. I backed up first to turn around then she decided to back up in to me. Didn't look. She took out the door in my subaru. (anyone have a door for a 2001 Forester S too?)

as an FYI, the rear bumpers are the same from 00-03. fronts for the 03 are same as 02, different on 00-01. also, all models are the same (GXE, SE, and GLE). this should help broaden your search.

secondly, if you're patient enough, you'd prolly find one on ebay. i found a front bumper for my 02 last year, already painted, for $85+$50 shipping = $135. that's a great deal for a brand new front bumper already painted. then again, i think i got lucky on that one. point being, check out ebay, you should find it.

What's up with all these bumper threads? This is like the 3rd or 4th one I've seen in 2 days.

 

$238 for front and rear covers isn't too bad. I wonder what the local paint shop will hit me to paint them.

Pershing wants $320 for paint.

average costs for painting a front can run from 250+ and the rear, i'd say 200. if 320 is for both front and rear, i'd say you have a pretty decent deal.
