Starter solenoid went out yay!

Ahahhaha, it was bound to happen. The starter just spins and makes that hi pitch whine..

This damn car is gona be parked for about a month....titan time

Too much cranking it over cus this damn problem....
I am yet to fix mine..... Have you gotten anywhere with the starting issue?

since we're talking about them, i regreased mine today...didn't want to have another winter with that horrible noise and kill my starter.

Bijan, I don't think that is the solenoid. If it makes the spinning noise, it is making it past the solenoid and is the starter itself. I had the solenoid go bad and it wouldn't make any noise at all. I tracked the problem to the solenoid using a multi-meter. I just replaced the whole thing though because of the minimal price difference and time/effort.

The Bendix gear isn't engauging. There may be a spring broken or it may just need to be cleaned and regreased. Remove the starter and take it apart. You might be able to fix it yourself for a very minimal amount.

lifetime warranty POS napa starter.......im taking it out in about 10 minutes. then making my decision

If you have a lifetime warantee, why not just swapping it out for another one?

I did, it starts now........but still hesitates

Cant even drop the fcking tranny cuz of the stripped lugs......those are next
