Just about any tranny mechanic familar with high performance should be able to mod a Maxima VB. All thats done is a pressure increase by drilling out a few bores. If you know the VB, it's easy to see 1st and 2nd gear fluid bores which are usually the ones that are changed.

Its possible, but not probable. I would think the risk of ruining your VB is great for someone that hasnt done this type of work before.

Valve Body Mod
Description: For automatic transmissions only. Makes the transmission shift quicker between gears. And even though the shifts feel harsher it actually prolongs the life of your tranny. Known to decrease 1/4 mile times by .1. It is also recommended that you get a tranny cooler if you do this mod since it causes your tranny to run hotter.

i got this from the maxmod website, Decrease by .1? for 400? ... dam so i fi run 15.3, ill run 15.2... i guess getting an upgraded ecu is smarter than
